On the other side of the fence

It’s easy to judge someone’s choices, being, and mistakes.  But you will never understand the dynamics unless you’re on the other side of the fence.

When you’re already there, I hope you’re humbled and forgiving, and mature and strong.  My wish is for you to be more loving and free.

She was just trying to cope. Trying to be strong on her own.  Any crack should be sealed and no weakness should seep in.  Feelings must be numbed, heart hardened.  Any kind, even the lowest of quality of happiness and security was welcome.

But the lowest of quality had its drawbacks.  The best of quality was not cheap for a reason.  Now we hope we have enough to afford the best.
